Golden Girl
Mustang Sally ~ Sally is a sweet gem. She's a foundation bred Quarter
Horse and is a beautiful Champagne Buckskin. Her mane, tail, and legs
are a beautiful milk chocolate brown. Her mane and tail have these
incredible golden shades that capture the sunlight. She was born in
1991 and if only we knew more about her past. She was rescued by a
friend who gave Sally all the love and attention she so desperately
needed. She was missing 1/3 of a front hoof (yes, the entire hoof) and
she has suffered a terrible trauma in her right eye. The eye trauma was
thought to be man made by the Ophthalmologist who was contacted straight
away to see if anything could be done to restore her eyesight.
Unfortunately nothing could be done because the trauma was aged. Being
tied was a huge issue for Sally. It took many months of tying her to a
tree with me reading a book and just being with her. The next step was
to teach her that being tied in her stall did not mean that "horse
monsters" was coming to get her. A grand success was finally getting
her to stand for lengths at time in the cross ties. Now she'll stand
for as long as you're willing to groom and pamper her. It's amazing to
watch her deal with blindness on her right side. What she does to
compensate and how she'll depend on another horse like Chasemore's Elite
"Woody" when out on a trail ride. Sharon and Brianna are Sally's
primary grooms along with Jovonnie. Here are photos of Brianna with
Sally. You can see just how special dear Sally is. |

Chasemore's Elite He's known as Woody
During a dog
show at the Georgia Agricenter in Perry, the Georgia Fall Sale for
Quarter Horses shared the wonderful facilities. It was a great time
watching the horses work cattle, show off their equine showmanship and
general great looks. Early one morning, two friends and I wandered over
to the arena where we could watch and ride some of the horses coming up
for auction. Chasemore's Elite immediately caught my eye. He's jet
black when not bleached out and has a star very much like Black Beauty.
He is an accomplished Hunter/Jumper and Dressage horse and
sired numerous offspring before being gelded. He's beautifully balanced
and collects himself very well. He moves with such grace and beauty
with his head tucked that it will take your breath away. He's known to
us as "Woody" and GoldenGael is his forever home, although he's captured
the heart of Brianna who is shown with him here. |

Karismas Destiny "Sunshine "
Congratulations to Amanda and the Freed Family on the purchase
of Sunshine.
As you can see, it's a perfect match.
Sunshine and Amanda will continue training under the direction of Tara Winegar.
Watch for Amanda and Sunshine at a show near you!

Karisma's Destiny "Sunshine"
is a 1998 Registered Quarter
Horse pony mare. She is a large
pony at 14.1 without shoes. She has had 60 days of solid
professional training and started jumping. She is easy to handle,
and ride. She is a lovely mover and very pretty to look at. Sunshine is
jumping flower boxes, lines, small courses
, and gymnastics. She is very brave and has nice form. She
trailers very well, loves the grooming pampering including body
clipping, is a breeze for the farrier and dentist. She has been barefoot
and her feet are very good. She's well socialized with others in
turnout and LOVES children. She has regular 6 month dental
check ups with floats and even has regular
Chiropractic visits. Her care has been top of the line, and we are
looking for the same in her new home. She is also
quiet enough for trail riding as she doesn't spook . |
